Welcome to the Remnant Clothing website, I’ll try to keep this brief.
Initially I must pay tribute to the example of transparency demonstrated by Bruno Pieters’ company Honest by who have unwittingly provided much inspiration. Thank you.
Remnant Clothing is simply the result of wanting to produce high quality artisan clothing using the best organic fabrics and natural dyes in a transparent and ethical manner. Every product or service I use has to satisfy my standards of environmental and social stewardship. Ultimately Remnant is in search of a restorative business model.
You’ll find on Remnant’s News page some of the influences that affect and shape the production of our T-shirts as well as any relevant issues facing the global and local fashion industries.
Under One Roof, is a page that provides a window into the low carbon design process and chain of production that takes place before you get to wear your nifty Remnant T-shirt.
The Lifecycle page describes the six hoops a Remnant T-shirt will jump through before it’s laid to rest.
Finally, orders made on Saturday NZDT will not be started until the following day which is unusual for a business on the web but decidedly refreshing for me in a world gone mad.
