In today’s world of fast fashion it is not uncommon for the production of clothing to span the entire globe, resulting in a cumbersome footprint and an unnecessary amount of wasted resources. One advantage of being a small business is that I can keep a close eye on each step of the supply chain, eliminating waste and adapting the processes immediately.
Therefore the production of your T-shirt will occur mostly inside one room, completely under one roof, exclusively in one city and proudly within one country. Drawing on Remnant’s preference for environmentally friendly materials, each T-shirt’s design and construction is carefully considered to produce a unique style. The organic merino and cotton T-shirts are cut, sewn and individually dyed with plant and insect extracts using a non-toxic, low impact method I have developed over years of hilarious calamities.
From design and cutting to construction and dyeing, all of Remnant’s garments are individually made in Christchurch, New Zealand, under one roof.
